About the Department

Data Management Office (DMO) 

DMO believes that data is key to responsible innovation, growth, and competitive advantage in the banking industry. Our mission is to leverage our data assets to create value for our customers, stakeholders and employees. We achieve this by defining, and executing to, enterprise data strategies and transformation, delivering valuable and trusted data to the organisation via the most efficient and responsible manner, ensuring robust data governance via strong enforcement, literacy, and management of emerging data risks and data regulatory compliance, as well as bringing Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) solutions to our business stakeholders to drive monetisation of our data assets. 

Enterprise AI & Analytics Transformation (EAIT)

EAIT is the AI center of excellence driving business value through impactful AI initiatives across all UOB business units. EAIT achieve this by a strong focus on AI expertise and continuous project delivery while spearheading AI innovation and research. EAIT also drives enterprise analytics transformation, and is responsible for ensuring robust AI ethics and model governance in UOB.
 

Job Responsibilities

UOB Data Management Office is looking for an experienced and innovative AI Solution Architect and Machine Learning Engineering Expert to join DMO’s dynamic Enterprise AI & Transformation team. 

You will be expected to play an integral role in shaping and executing our AI strategy and enterprise AI platform, leverage your expertise in ML algorithms, architectures, and best practices to design, develop, and deploy high-impact AI solutions that solve real-world banking challenges and create significant value for the enterprise. 
 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Partner with technology group to develop enterprise AI platform and architecture to align with the organization's strategic goals for AI industrialization.
• Collaborate with BU/SUs to understand business goals and identify opportunities integrate AI into banking processes to drive revenue uplift, enhance business efficiency, or improve customer experience.
• Lead the evaluation, selection or development and adoption of reusable AI/ML frameworks and tools to drive productivity enhancement within Enterprise AI team and across enterprise for AI/ML solution development and deployment. 
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Enterprise AI development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in UOB AI roadmap.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to define and create data assets and ensure the availability of quality data for AI models.
   

Job Requirements

• Master’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AI Solution Architect, with a strong background in developing and deploying AI solutions within the banking sector.
• In-depth knowledge of AI/ML algorithms and development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with on-premise and cloud AI platforms and technologies.
• Experience with banking/finance domain knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
