About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure. Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing. 

Job Responsibilities

The Test Environment lead is responsible for managing SIT/UAT environments of trade systems including environment build, upgrade, deployment, end of day batch execution and support to projects.

The candidate must have a strong command of infrastructure & middleware technology used in the market. He or she should be able to organise and drive technical discussion working with vendors and various stakeholders.

Successful candidate is expected to have 10+ years environment management experience and hands-on working experience on various infrastructure & middleware technology (Unix/Linux/Oracle/IBM WebSphere/MQ).

 

  • Manage test environment availability and provide support to testing team during test execution 
  • Work with and support Project / Program Managers to define environment requirement in the planning phase and oversee delivery of environments
  • Monitor and manage risks & issues related to environment and resolve them on timely fashion
  • Provide regular communications to stakeholders on environment status and incident update
  • Work with UOB central team to ensure deployment process is aligned with DevOps framework and avoid manual intervention
  • Work with project team to setup end of day batch and oversee batch execution
  • Manage testing environment tech refresh, Infra End of Life and Vendor support for supported applications 
  • Maintain a central knowledge base for key operating procedure and ensure it is regularly reviewed
  • Continuously review test environment availability and key operating procedure for improvement opportunities

Job Requirements

  • At least 10 years test environment management or equivalent production management experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in every stage of software development lifecycle. Relevant Technical & PM certification will be plus including knowledge of technologies like J2EE, Oracle, Unix, MQ etc
  • Experience in effective planning, execution, monitoring End-to-end technical activities and reporting to senior management 
  • Experience in managing Technology vendor and Business stakeholders from various ASEAN countries and have appreciation of local IT regulations
  • Trade Finance / FSCM / Documentary Trade IT System knowledge will be an advantage

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar domain
  • Related professional/technical experience and skills
