About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.



Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare credit rating, periodic financial and credit reviews on NBFIs and be responsible for the credit process of the team portfolio and ensure that the credit reviews are completed on time.
  • Evaluate the overall credit worthiness and their ability to meet their financial obligations for traditional credit based products as well as a variety of structured banking transactions, treasury and traded products.
  • Review proposed transactions against credit standards.
  • Structuring of proposals according to borrower’s operational demands and bank’s risk appetite.
  • To ensure accuracy and completeness of internal credit rating factors using NBFI scorecard models.
  • Keep abreast of key developments in the industry from regulatory, market and credit perspectives.
  • Work and coordinate with internal business, product and other partners in Head Office, as well as Overseas Branches and Subsidiaries.
  • To work alongside team members on business and financial analysis on existing and prospective clients to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Participate in client calls / meetings as and when required.



Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business/Accounting/Economics with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills combined with excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in independently conducting financial and credit analysis for institutional clients (Experience in Corporate Banking may also be considered).
  • Ability to work independently and as a team to deliver outcome of a consistent and good quality outcome within stipulated timeline in a dynamic environment.
  • Key competencies include: adaptability, business analysis, problem solving, results oriented, project management, self-motivation, team player.
