About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.


Personal Financial Services

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Spearhead key projects in Card Operations, together with business users and technology team, to increase efficiency, improve productivity and enhance customer journey
  • Drive data-driven programs to support run & change agendas
  • Review and recommend process improvement for productivity effectiveness and efficiency, which includes using data to study trends, performing gap/problem analysis on processes and provide recommendation for change and mitigation of risks
  • Conduct the risk reviews for Card Operations, including self-assessments, internal reviews and audit reviews, highlight control gaps and propose action plans to ensure compliance with group operational policies and procedures
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors and act as key contact point
  • Strengthen risk culture within Card Operations through workshops and training
  • Manage outsourced vendor which include monthly reviews on service delivery, liaison with vendors on business demands, contract negotiation and annual outsourcing reviews
  • Lead the Business Continuity activities in Card Operations as part of the Business Continuity Management

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • 8 - 10 years of professional work experience, with at least 5 years in banking operations, process re-engineering, risk management and quality assurance
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process design skills that can translate analysis into actions that meet business objectives
  • Knowledge in the application of digitalisation, technologies and data analytics would be a clear advantage
  • In-depth understanding of risk and controls in operations, and experience in working with auditors preferred
  • Able to multi-task and cope with change and diversity in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous with an eye for details and quality mindset
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communications skills, driving outcomes through influence and negotiations
  • Passionate, diligent and resilient individual with ability to thrive in ambiguity
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint
  • Team player, self-driven / motivated and resourceful
