About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of subject matter experts, production support team, architects and software developers to deliver change requests (e.g. prod fixes or enhancements) via in-house development or vendor solution.
  • Provide timely support to production support team (L2) to facilitate the troubleshooting and investigation, proactively manage incident and problem tickets and ensure the resolution within TRO.
  • Drive adoption and implementation of DevOps and ensure industry best practices are implemented to improve quality and productivity outcomes e.g. test automation and security scanning
  • Review solutions delivered by the project teams and keep documentation (e.g. functional / design spec) up to date and aligned with Bank standards (e.g. SDM5)
  • Resolve issues ensuring escalation and communication to stakeholders as necessary
  • Participate in the software deployment journey to Cloud-native, container-based environment

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering
  • Hands-on experience and deep technical knowledge and skills in the following technologies:
    • API Technology (Experience of one or more: Axway API Gateway, MuleSoft Integrator, TIBCO Cloud Mashery, IBM API Connect, Apigee Edge, Amazon API gateway) 
    • Middleware (Oracle Tuxedo, MQ, Connect Direct, Control-M)
    • Application (Spring, Camel, JBoss application server)
    • Infrastructure (Linux, databases e.g. Oracle, Cassandra and MariaDB)
    • Security (SSL, JWT, JKS, OAuth, SAML, Threat Protection, Cryptography, WS-Security)
    • DevOps (Jenkins, SonarQube, VeraCode, TOSCA, Groovy / Java / Shell script)
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience working with LUW (Linux, UNIX systems / Wintel) platforms
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Application Development role for large / complex projects involving multiple technologies; experience with container-based technology (e.g. OpenShift) is a plus
  • Experience in managing vendor project implementations 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • A strong and assertive communicator in speaking and writing
  • Resolving and influencing the positive outcome of conflicting objectives and priorities
  • Knowledge with AS400 stack is a plus
