About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Security Engineer will support the day-to-day governance, risk, service and process management of the bank’s data security suite of products 

Key Responsibilities:

•    Support the Head of Data Security Engineering in managing the delivery of data security services and management of the overall data security project portfolio which includes the design and transition of new data security services
•    Engage the business and understand data security requirements and transform the requirements into effective protection rules which would need to be implemented consistently across the data security suite of products deployed in the Bank
•    Manage the risks associated with any service and policy deviations
•    Managing vendors, processes and risks associated with the data security suite of products deployed in the Bank. These products include (but are not limited to)
    o  Data Leakage Protection
    o  E-Mail Encryption
    o  CASB
    o  Digital Information Classification
    o  Sensitive Data Discovery
    o  Digital Watermarking
•    Continuously assess and understand the Bank’s attack surface and exposure in relation to leakage of Bank’s sensitive information
•    Drive  a culture of continuous improvement and identify requirements for new capabilities, 
•    Provide support for all Audit and Regulatory requests.

Others:
•    Communicate effectively with a variety of internal teams and third party service providers/vendors for the delivery of Data Security services/solutions
•    Capable of managing a variety of priorities and deliverables in an operational, interrupt driven environment with minimal guidance or supervision.
•    Work within established practices and handling guidelines to triage device outages.
•    Work with internal technical teams and engineers in technical troubleshooting and forums.
•    Available to respond to any requests and assist with troubleshooting activities along with proper documentation.
•    Resolve standard/routine issues with no guidance and complex/unusual issues with minimal guidance.

Job Requirements

Education

•    Diploma/Degree in engineering/Computer Science / IT/Cyber Security from a recognized education institution
•    Data Security product certifications will be favorable although not mandatory (eg CDPSE)

Technical Skills

•    Overall experience 10 to 12 years of experience 
•    5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Data Security processes and technologies
•    Knowledgeable with the variety of Data Security technologies and familiar with the industry trends and best practices
•    Knowledgeable with cloud technologies (eg. AWS, Azure, M365, GCP) in relation to Data Security
•    Analytical problem solver and good at troubleshooting technical issues

•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•    Effective time management and organizational skills.
•    Team player, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and across the organisation
