About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the delivery against all financials & business targets set for TB-Cash Sales
  • Present and sell cash management related solutions to new and existing and NBFI ( Funds, Insurance, Public Sectors, etc ) Transaction Banking clients.  Prepare client calling plan to identify wallet size and opportunities.  Respond to request for proposal and presentations
  • Manage, defend and retain existing customer portfolio. Also to deepen the customer cash wallet share and continue to drive customers to use UOB as their core cash banks 
  • Promote our electronic channel capabilities by driving customer into our electronic channels. Working closely with CFS/ Implementation team in growing customer utilization of GEB
  • Support new product launch by active promotion of our capabilities 
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
  • Maximize business and revenue opportunities by product cross selling
  • Organise and/or participate in sales and marketing events for TB clients
  • Source and maintain local/regional market and industry information, competitor product offering, pricing, network and activities
  • Identify product gaps and potential product enhancements/initiatives that further enhance local competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep sales discipline in maintaining all MIS always updated (e.g. sales pipeline, deal realization reports, etc)

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of cash sales experience, especially to local Corporates Banks, NBFI and public sectors.
  • Implementation and client services experience for cash management deals or solution will be a plus.
  • A highly-motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal, sales and people management skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with good spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Effective influencing and networking skills. Deep knowledge of cash management solutions and able to understand NBFI client patterns and behaviours.
  • Certified ECF qualification is preferred.
