About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.


Personal Financial Services

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

This role is a new role, created to drive the Personal Financial Services (PFS) Marketing function at a regional level. The role is critical in expanding our view of the marketing function beyond Singapore given our growth aspirations across ASEAN with UOB’s acquisition of Citibank’s retail business across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
The role will report into the Head of Regional Marketing Strategy and Martech for PFS and will be based in Singapore.

• The role will be responsible for the implementation synergies and efficiencies across all six PFS markets of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.

These synergies , strategic and executions alignments will be in key areas of:

• Marketing positioning and strategy for common products and services.

• Digital Marketing / Performance Marketing

• Alignment of Brand Corporate Identity and tone of Voice.

• Reporting on effectiveness of marketing efforts.

• To work with both the broader PFS marketing team in Singapore and with the marketing heads of each regional market.

• Implementation of marketing best practices across all markets

• Adherence to marketing guidelines

• Effective and common use of marketing technology across all markets

• Maximising the efficiency and effectiveness of third-party agencies (creative and media)

• Standardizing of common marketing processes and practices to extract strong return on investment of marketing dollars.

 These responsibilities will be achieved through an understanding of key business drivers, key consumer insights strong organization skills, and a customer focus. The execution of this will largely be through guidance of marketing colleagues and working well in building the trust and engagement of the in-country marketing teams.


Job Requirements

 • 6-8 years in a marketing role '

• Able to think strategically but also execute end-to-end directly and via local in-country marketing teams.

• Strong grasp of marketing strategy

• Financial services or media agency experience preferred

• Demonstrated ability in a marketing role, managing agencies and internal partners.

• Demonstrated experience in a Regional role is preferred.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to join the dots and engage across multiple stakeholders.
