About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

To drive the overall marketing of the Bank’s Digital Banking App, UOB TMRW and Cards & Payments Products.
This individual should have a strong understanding of digital banking and the cards and payments landscape. As a team lead, he/she will oversee and manage all strategic and tactical marketing activities and campaigns for both businesses. This includes new product launches/refreshes, usage platform campaigns, content marketing and managing of UOB Cards Social media channels.
The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial by nature, strategic, creative minded with a strong consumer focus, and experienced in media planning, digital and social media marketing.

The individual will be responsible for brainstorming and creating consumer insight-driven, powerful, and memorable marketing campaigns that engages consumers, drive brand awareness and growth for the following businesses:
UOB TMRW: To drive digitally engaged and digitally active customers

  •  UOB Cards and Payment Products: To acquire new-to-bank customers, drive card billings, portfolio balances and digital payments.
  •  Digital & Social Media knowledge is essential, with experience in managing social platforms to build and maintain our social media presence for branding, engagement and acquisition purposes
  •  An effective collaborator in a fast paced, multifaceted environment, he/she is able to effectively provide clear directions and work with various cross-functional stakeholders, manage multiple agencies, and day to day execution to ensure creative and media is well aligned to strategy.
  •  Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)

Job Requirements

1. At least 12 years of experience related to financial institutions, consumer sectors or handled Financial Institution accounts in a creative agency. App marketing experience or strong knowledge in digital and social media platforms and its formats will be an advantage.
2. Degree in Communications, Marketing or Business.
3. Strategic and creatively minded with a strong consumer focus to develop great ideas and tell stories through integrated consumer communication and direct-to-consumer marketing, with an emphasis on digital and social.
4. Passionate in driving results with a growth hacking mentality and strong ability to develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies
5. Strong branding/design sense with business acumen and able to express opinions on creative work.
6. Positive and energetic team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams and cross functions
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
8. Independent and strong ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing business needs and challenges.
