Job description summary
The Operation Marketing Manager is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information.
Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results.
Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and execute marketing programs targeting customer, prospect and internal audiences.
• Work closely with the digital marketing, direct marketing, branch marketing and client management teams to maximize marketing opportunities.
• Support line manager to develop full year marketing plan for core consumer lines of business.
• Collaborate with outside agencies and key internal stakeholders to develop marketing materials and collateral.
• Manage external agencies regarding campaign requirements, creative specifications, artwork and artwork preparation, schedules, and delivery dates.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure consistent use of name, logo and brand attributes.
• Ensure the message and tone of all communications is consistent with brand standards.
• Maintain creative library and approval documentation.
• Participate in the research and identifying of new potential products and new industries.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise.
Job Requirements
• 5-6 years marketing/branding/multichannel experience, at least 1-2 year in manager position. Prior experience in banking industry or advertising agency is an advantage.
• High degree of proficiency with PC platform and tools: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, & Acrobat), Microsoft Office
• Understanding of HTML, Javascript, JQuery an asset Web content management experience
• Proficiency in creative design of marketing collateral Proficiency in design for digital platforms
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment; demonstrated organizational skills
• Experience in campaign development and tactical execution
• Experience in working with external agencies, including creative, data and production vendors
• Demonstrated digital marketing competence across search, display, paid media and measurement
• Outstanding problem solving/analytical skills enabling expedient resolution of issues
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills with all levels of employees, management, and clients
• Some knowledge of traditional print practices including: layout, typography, and colour.Education
• Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
