About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.


Job Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Head of Transaction Banking, the successful hire will be responsible for the product P&L and business drivers (i.e. liabilities levels, revenue/cost ratios, funding cost etc.) to achieve product profitability
  • Propose strategies and product positioning for in-country products & services, coordinating with Group Liability Management.  Develop and maintain pricing guidelines responding to market situation 
  • Liaise with internal and external partners on product/business requirements to ensure end to end integrity of our solutions, processes and documentations.   Maintain strong knowledge on processing methodologies, GL entries and relevant core banking systems.
  • Monitor evolving client needs and package solution and services to meet those needs. Perform customer deposits & market analysis to develop UOB deposit franchise.


Job Requirements

  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a bank or similar financial institution, with heavy emphasis in Liability Management role
  • Excellent analytical skills. Provide analytical expertise for assessing the deposits strategies & initiatives
  • A highly-motivated self-starter with strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation and organization skill
  • Strong writing, presentation and communication skills with good spoken and written English
  • Bachelor or higher degree
