About the Department
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure activities of Loans Disbursement, Repayment, Rollover and Rate fixing are completed according to established procedures, policies, guidelines, and within specified quality standards, agreed service levels, and industry cut-off times.
- Understand the flow of the loan cycle for different loan products and continuously improve the handling of day-to-day loan administration matters.
- Ensure loans are correctly and timely disbursed to customers according to their instructions.
- Ensure all transaction processes comply with Bank Group T&O operation risk policies and local regulatory requirements.
- Monitor fund flow and understand liquidity requirements.
- Prepare the distribution of fees, interest or principal payments, and act as the paying bank to lenders in syndicated agency loans.
- Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers.
- Assist the team lead in coaching and developing team members to achieve the section’s goals and complete their responsibilities.
- Provide guidance and ensure team members comply with the rules, guidelines, and regulatory requirements of the Bank, HKMA, MAS, etc., pertaining to operations.
- Escalate exceptional, outstanding, or suspicious transactions to the section head and other relevant parties for necessary action.
- Support new services/activities, perform coordinator roles and undertake adhoc project or tasks as designated.
Job Requirements
- Degree holder in Business, Banking & Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5-6 years of relevant working experience in corporate / commercial banking environment, with at least 1 year at a supervisory level
- Proven hands-on experience in managing both syndicated and bilateral loans.
- Strong familiarity with compliance requirements and the ability to ensure services adhere to Bank Group T&O operations risk policies and local regulatory standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of high-level system architecture to manage incoming and outgoing interfaces effectively, preventing any outages.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Good at MS Office application such as Words, Excel and PowerPoint, with VBA skills preferred.
