About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

• To maintain close relationships with existing global funds & financial sponsors client segment, to assist RM in capturing new business opportunities and able to enlarge cooperation with existing clients.
• To assist RM in soliciting new client relationships for global funds & financial sponsors client segment.
• Responsible for account set up, KYC / AML monitoring and day-to-day client liaisons.
• To assist RM in cross selling banking products – including deposits, bilateral & syndicated loan facility, DCM, transaction banking (cash & trade), Global Markets, etc, and to promote business opportunities of UOB worldwide networks.
• To understand the client’s needs and credit standings and assist RM in negotiating with clients on facilities terms and responsible to complete credit proposals in order to achieve the Dept targets.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Admin. or relevant concentrations
• At least 5 years client coverage experiences in Financial Institutions Sector, preferably with global funds & financial sponsors client segments
• Licensing Requirements: HKMA Type 1 & 4 is mandatory
• Sound credit and business knowledge in global funds & financial sponsors client segment
• Proficiency in English / Mandarin / Cantonese
• Strong at analytical / logical presentations
• Independent, self-motivated, detail minded, customer oriented and able to work under pressure
