About the Department
Global Markets comprises Group Global Market Sales, Structuring and Market Making, Group Portfolio & Liquidity Management. Our solutions cover foreign exchange (FX), interest rate, credit, commodities, equities, structured products and exchange traded products. Leveraging on our Asian networks and strong local knowledge, we provide in-depth market insights to help our customers make informed decisions even in volatile market conditions. We work closely with client segment relationship managers to develop solutions that are customised to each client’s needs. Our careful and dedicated approach in managing our customers’ business risks helps us to build enduring client relationships. Job Responsibilities
- To be part of the Business Management team to monitor and ensure business efficiency of Global Markets (GM) in HK
- To work with the team & product managers in reviewing and implementing GM policies, SOPs and product programs
- To assist in ensuring adequate control & monitoring processes are in in place for full compliance with internal limits and requirements as well as external rules and regulations by Sales, Traders and Structurers
- To assist in exercising business assurance controls encompassing regulatory and compliance requirements, conflicts of interest, code of ethics, audit issues and other internal control matters
- To participate and coordinate in any systems and infrastructure planning for HK-GM
- To assist & provide administrative support to the GM team in a timely and accurate manner.
- To work with the team in monitoring and controlling the expenses of GM to keep them within budget on a monthly basis as well as aggregated year-to-date.
- To assist and provide regular overview of GM's market risk exposures and financial performances to the market risk control units and Business Finance of UOB HK and HO
- To maintain a comprehensive GM directory for the latest versions of GM-owned or GM-related policies and procedures, circulars, agreements and documents, product programs and addendums and etc to facilitate more efficient retrieval of up-to-date information or materials.
Job Requirements
- University graduates in banking, finance or related business disciplines
- Experience in banking industry preferably with Treasury products
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Global Markets
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken & written Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English
- Good understanding and knowledge of the financial market
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems
- Member of Treasury Markets Association (TMA) is preferred
- Holder of ECF on Operational Risk Management (ORM) accredited by The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) and Treasury Management accredited by Treasury Markets Association are preferred
