About the Department

UOB Private Bank is dedicated to managing the wealth of high-net-worth individuals with investment assets of $5 million and above. Keeping in mind our clients’ financial objectives, we provide tailored products and solutions that draw on the Group’s comprehensive suite of personal, business and investment services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance reviews through thematic testing and ongoing post transaction review.
  • Perform review and assessment of the completeness and effectiveness of support function’s controls.
  • Facilitate incident management from investigation and assembling of root causes to ensuring measures identified is effective and sustainable.
  • Perform self-assessment, gap analysis against internal and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Tracking of open action plans resulting from Operational Risk events or audits are resolved and implemented within the committed timeline.
  • Plan, manage, drive and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to implement systems, processes for UOB HK private banking, including user acceptance tests.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from Operational Risk Management, Compliance or other relevant parties.
  • Backup of Middle Office daily operation tasks (e.g. static data maintenance, record reconciliation, report generation)

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder in Finance / Business Administration or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in banking or related field
  • Knowledge of private banking, investment markets, products and regulations is preferred.
  • Mature and able to work independently with minimal supervision and willingness to be hands on.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Proven ability to balance business needs and controls requirements.
  • Innovative problem solver, able to identify and understand issues and drive towards effective resolution.
  • Good inter-personal and effective communication skills with strong project management skills.
