About the Department
The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic credit reviews for existing borrowers, which involved the preparation of credit submission package comprising mainly Credit Application Summary (“CAS”), Executive Summary (“ES”) or Credit Memo, Credit and Compliance checklists.
- Prepare CAS for new borrowers.
- Liaise with Relationship Managers to check on compliance of terms and conditions imposed on the credit facilities and update of applicable remarks during periodic credit reviews.
- Ensure compliance of all internal / external policies / guidelines via sanity checks.
- Follow-up on post approval credit conditions with update to internal register for monitoring purposes. Required Variation of Terms (“VAR”) credit requests to formalise these conditions are to be raised and submitted for approval.
- Prepare / co-ordinate necessary MIS report for the management.
- Perform monitoring tasks such as litigation suits, excess reports, listed companies’ announcements, etc so as to identify any vulnerable accounts and take prompt actions to minimize potential NPLs.
- Assist in streamline credit workflow processes within Commercial Banking and other related departments.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff.
- Support Credit Analyst Team Head and assist in ad hoc projects, where applicable.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Admin or relevant concentrations.
- At least 8 -10 years credit analysis experience in commercial or corporate banking sector.
- Sound credit and business knowledge in commercial or corporate banking space and regulatory requirement.
- Language proficiency (Written & spoken) in English I Mandarin I Cantonese.
- Strong at analytical/ logical presentations.
- Self-motivated, detail-minded and customer focused.
- Good time management & able to work under pressure.
- Able and willing to work and share with peers to achieve common key performance goals.
- Proficiency in PC applications.
- Holder of ECF on Credit Risk Management (CRM) accredited by The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) is preferred
