About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

  • To ensure that IT systems and applications within the bank meet the needs of the business while adhering to security best-practices, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Security Surveillance
    • Technical Subject Matter Expert on offensive, defensive, network security and defense-in-depth methodologies and technology
    • to monitor security alerts, logs, intelligence feeds and advisory from various sources to identify potential threats, investigate, engage relevant stakeholders to follow up to close incidents and produce management reports
    • To monitor DLP cases and follow up for closure
  • Security Engineering
    • To manage security tools (IPS, SIEM, VA scan, DLP, AV, ATP) to help with security investigation and configure the needed to strengthen the security
    • Coordinate with the vendor to perform maintenance and enhancement activities on security tools.
  • Vulnerability Management
    • Perform vulnerability assessment, and track the gaps to closure
    • Coordinate with vendor to perform Penetration test and track the gaps to closure
  • Security Projects/Initiative
    • To assist project team to deliver security projects
    • To coordinate with various parties to drive security initiatives


Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of related working experience.  Knowledge of IT security is essential.  Industry certifications will be a plus e.g. CRISC, CISSP, CEH, CISM and CISA.
  • Highly result oriented and can work independently.
  • Ability to build relationship and interact effectively with internal and external parties.  Strong engagement skills with stakeholder i.e. business and technology, will be a plus.
  • Good analytical, technical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in applying established techniques, procedures or standards
  • Prior exposure with security activity monitoring, security intrusion detection, phishing handling, DDoS, DLP and APT solutions will be a plus.
  • Technical expertise in one or more of the following
    • Network Concepts and Security, Encryption/Authentication fundamentals, Access Management, Application/Platform/Database Security
    • Security Information Event Management (SIEM), Vulnerability/penetration testing tools, Advanced Persistent Threat (APT)/Malware analysis and forensic tools.
  • Familiar with security standards and best practice; regulatory requirement such as BNM RMIT, MAS, PCI-DSS and etc; architecture and security of operating system; logging or auditing systems, including those on Operating System, databases and network device; Systems Development Life Cycle.
