UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
About The Department
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Job Responsibilities
Insider Threat Analyst is an operational role within UOB’s Group Security Operations Centre. The incumbent will be responsible for the continuous monitoring, analysing, and investigating of insider threats. The candidate must have good analytical and investigative skills to recognize and detect anomalous behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
- To supervise and perform day-to-day monitoring, triaging, and investigating of potential suspected anomalous usage behaviour alerts
- To work with internal teams to validate alerts within stipulated SLA
- To coordinate and support HQ in investigation of escalated cases to closure
- To perform continuous review and improvement on current monitoring operations to enhance effectiveness of monitoring
- To be able to recognize and report on issues, and work with HQ to resolve the issues
- To gain in-depth understanding of internal business applications to be able to analyse, recognize and identify potentially anomalous activities
- To perform analysis on usage behaviour trends to discover potentially fraudulent activities
- To prepare routine and ad-hoc reporting and statistics on state of operations
- To work with internal cyber security teams to ensure investigations are comprehensive
- To manage team members’ case load and provide guidance on investigations
Job Requirements
Education
- Diploma/Degree in Business Information Technology/Business Analytics from recognized academic institutions
Technical Skills and Experience
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience as an insider fraud/threat analyst in a financial institution
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills
- Experience with the use of analytical platforms
- Experience with machine learning-enabled platforms would be advantageous
- Experience in conducting review exercises, identifying of gaps in monitoring operations and providing proposed improvements
- Knowledge of Cyber Security would be advantageous
- Relevant working experience in security operations environment will be advantages
