About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform continuous monitoring eg. Proofing, AML check for account opening, Departmental Control Checklist (DCC) review.
  • Plan and perform targeted reviews for the various product operations teams eg. Trade, Cash, Global Markets, Loans
  • Perform horizontal reviews across operations units, investigations and deep dives where required.
  • Ensure procedures and SOPs are aligned to Group policies and procedures as well as applicable regulatory requirements such as from HKMA, SFC, MAS.
  • Assist the Ops team on internal and external audit, compliance reviews
  • Manage regulatory reviews and inspections, and liaising with regulators on all communications for T&O
  • Review all incidents and Management Risk Awareness (MRAs), standardize process and controls
  • Identify any operational gaps in processes which might lead to incidents with risk impact
  • Perform various risk reporting to Group and Country management
  • Conduct and review the local user application accesses on Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
  • Perform any periodic review on user access accounts.
  • Follow up any overdue cases on Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in operational risk management, auditing, compliance, or data privacy would be an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of banking operations, products and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to design the controls and present the process in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills, problem solving capacities
  • Able to work under pressure & meet deadlines
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for AVP
