About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team of RMs to expand existing client relationships and on-board new ones in the POE / SOE sectors through new banking transactions
  • Promote banking products - loans, loan syndication, trade finance, transaction banking, DCM, treasury, with top quality services
  • To work with counterparts in other countries/regions to promote cross-border cross selling
  • Work with Credit and Origination team on credit proposals by providing inputs on deal background, account plan, yield justifications and recommendations
  • Responsible for overall credit quality and returns of client portfolio under management
  • Review OD excess report and submit it to relevant parties for approval
  • Handle Account opening, operation of loans and deposits
  • Complete various reports ( e.g. Customer call report, pipeline report, monthly cross-selling income report and Deal & Income Tracking)

Job Requirements

  • University graduate or professional with recognized qualifications in banking, finance or related business disciplines
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in relationship management of corporate or commercial banking clients
  • Qualified under SFO for handling regulated activities Type 1 and 4
  • Obtained Professional level qualifications of Relevant Practitioner under HKMA ECF on CRM is preferable
  • Sound knowledge of credit products and credit analytical skills
