About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead origination, execution and syndicate of both high grade and high yield primary bond transactions, through public or private placement for clientele of corporate and commercial banking, and financial institutions, in Greater China.
  • Manage or support managing the whole deal process including preparing pitch books, deal structuring, documentation, conducting due diligence and roadshow.
  • Provide market information or updates to both external and internal parties.
  • Cross-sell Global Markets hedging solutions.
  • Work effectively with various internal teams including Relationship Managers, Fixed Income Sales, Global Markets and Legal.
  • Responsible for compliance of business activities to both internal and external regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  • University Graduate, preferably in finance / accounting
  • Good understanding of Debt Capital Markets and banking industry in Asia in particular Greater China.
  • 5-8 years’ in Debt Capital Markets and/or related experience.
  • Experience of managing corporate clients and financial institutions in Greater China.
  • Good analytical, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • High professional standards with strong sense of personal integrity
  • Energetic with strong ability to adapt to new concepts
  • Team work altitude
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
