About the Department

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Host system (iSeries and zSeries) product and operation services
  • Manage Host system (iSeries and zSeries) operation services to meet SLA and TRO
  • Manage and escalate system operation timely to management
  • Develop and update of standard operating procedures
  • Provide Host system (iSeries and zSeries) support to both IT and business users
  • Ensure all system backup are completed successfully
  • Ensure System Disaster Recovery readiness and successful execution of DR exercises
  • Manage the High Availability of Host system environment (iSeries and zSeries)
  • Manage the risk and security, vulnerability and compliance to best practices
  • Manage 3rd party software and updated for according to lifecycle management
  • Responsible for Hardware Firmware and OS Patch/Upgrade, Performance tuning and capacity planning
  • Work with multiple vendors on the implementation and support of Host system (iSeries and zSeries)

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years experience in hands on in iSeries or zSeries environment
  • Experience in managing iSeries or zSeries operations
  • Experience in ITIL and process management
  • Experience in one or more below:
  1. Backup and Recovery process (flashcopy, BRMS, safe guard copy)
  2. IBM Power HA, ASP and iASP disk management
  3. IBM Hardware,  Virtualization management (NIM, VIOS) and IBM i OS
  4. Understand system replication softwares concept
  5. Network configuration for TCP/IP Protocol
  6. SAN Storage system concept, SAN Switches, FC ans multipath configuration
  7. System performance tuning, alert and monitoring
  • Understand Firmware patch, PTF, CUM Package implementation
  • Understand IT Process, policies and procedures
  • Mature and strong leadership skills to lead both technical and and service operations management
  • Enthusiastic and strong desire to learn and adopt fast changing environments
  • Organized and detailed oriented and strong ability to perform multiple tasks streams
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting with multiple technical teams
  • Possess excellent communication skills and fluent in English
