About the Department

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to be part of the pioneer team spearheading the development and delivery of the new services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business leads/service lines to understand communication needs and define a tailored communications plan, which includes internal and external communications across the various channels eg. Emails, Intranet, Newsletters, Broadcast channels in the common areas, Community Page in Viva Engage, social media eg Linkedin etc. 
  • Execute communications activities across the year, which includes developing timely and relevant content   
  • Research and explore branding opportunities for UOB Innovation Hub 2 by participating in industry awards as well as speaking engagements where we can build thought leadership.  
  • Assist the Head of Planning in collating data and providing analysis on communication effectiveness in the organisation on a quarterly basis and to find opportunities for improvement. 
  • Nurture a positive and inclusive workplace culture and a sense of community through cross functional collaborations with other teams in the organisation to drive engagement events eg. Townhalls, Corporate Social Responsibility activities, events to promote environment and sustainability, team-building activities. 
  • Celebrate achievements and share success stories across the organisation through recognition awards. 
  • Work closely with HR to support any coordination of pulse surveys or focus groups with employees to gather feedback and workplace satisfaction, engagement drivers and areas for improvement. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mass Communications, Journalism, Marketing, HR or related field. 
  • Min 5 years of working experience in Marketing (Communications / Engagement) 
  • Previous experience in either Communications, Employee Engagement or related roles. 
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills including written skills. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills. 
  • Knowledge of social media sites like LinkedIn, Facebook and Youtube. 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word 
  • Open-minded and willing to take challenges in a multi-tasking and multi-national work environment 
  • Strong team player willing to take initiative and with good project management skills.
