About the Department

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Responsibilities

  • Drive supplier sourcing, conduct RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ), negotiate commercials and contracts to achieve the best value deal and right outcome for the Tech Centre. 
  • Coordinate strategy implementation with Business Units/Support Units and ensure leverage and alignment with Group GTO procurement practices.  
  • Work on Statements of Work/Work Orders/sub-agreements whenever required to ensure the Scope of Services, its SLA and commercials are accurately call out for the best interests of Tech Centre.  
  • Handle extension/renewal contracts to support the respective Business Units/Support Units whenever needed. 
  • Reviewing and validating all related Purchase Requisitions in SAP and turn it into the Purchase Orders.  
  • Responsible for reviewing and onboarding of new vendor onto SAP system.  
  • At the outset, proactively engage and integrate input from respective stakeholders to drive and optimize value generation.  
  • Foster effective collaboration and ensure strong communication lines with key stakeholders and colleagues to work towards shared business goals 
  • Track and report savings achievements for areas in scope  
  • Maintain regular communication lines and collaborative working relationship with stakeholders 
  • Lead and drive the CI for the process 
  • Ensure compliance to UOB policies, standards and guidelines 

 

Job Requirements

  • University Degree. Those majoring in IT, Business, Finance, Engineering or accounting will be preferred 
  • Professional certifications in the field of Sourcing/Procurement/Supply Chain (e.g. CIPS, CPPM, CPM) will be an advantage 
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience in driving sourcing engagements and negotiating complex supplier contracts at country level.  Those with experience in managing and negotiating contracts across IT category will be an advantage. 
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make the appropriate decisions and resolve conflicts effectively. 
  • Performance-driven balanced with proven success of working effectively in a cross-functional team in an international environment. 
  • Process-oriented and possesses a strategic mindset with the ability to have a holistic view. 
  • Ability to deliver and articulate a presentation confidently and effectively to a wider project committee and management. 
  • Competent in formulating supplier negotiation strategies to address commercial and contractual (includes boilerplates and KPIs/SLAs) aspects. 
  • Relevant experience in the financial services industry is advantageous. 
  • Knowledge and familiarity of working using SAP system. 
  • Strong project management experience.
