About the Department
The Human Resources function balances organisational aspirations and employee needs, as we accelerate and strengthen people capabilities to enable sustainable business growth at UOB. Our team of Human Resources specialists are guided by four employee commitments: do what is right, build meaningful careers, make a real difference and lead by positive example.
Job Responsibilities
- Trusted advisor to business/function under care on all matters related to people
- Contribute actively in business planning and strategy sessions. This would entail being conversant on HR policies, analytics and processes as well as have good understanding of the line’s nature of business.
- Workforce Management (include manpower management, productivity measurements and recruitment). Responsible for the governance of manpower set out by the approved budget and provide the approved justifications for exceptions when required.
- Performance and Reward Management. Provide guidance to the business/function on matters related to rewards and performance. This includes advising on appropriate benchmarks tied to productivity towards staff compensation and performance management. In addition, HRBP should facilitate the reward strategy for the function vis a vis the market practice / benchmark.
- Talent & Staff Development. Required to have first-hand knowledge of who are the talents within their function and be responsible for driving the management of talent development with TOD. In addition, the HRBP is to map out with the function head on future talent requirements and strategies in bringing on board key hires or developing potential talent.
- Change Management. Identifying issues and work with line managers and specialists (e.g TOD) whether anticipatory or antecedent that require change management interventions resulting from organizational / unit, policy, people changes, etc.
- Partnering with line management and employees to enhance employee engagement
- Participating in and/or leading HR projects
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
- At least 8 years' experience in HR business partner role
- Proven experience in stakeholder management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive, resourceful and able to work under pressure
- Able to work in fast-paced environment and a team player
