Job Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will report to the Bank's Legal & Secretariat Department.
  • He/She is required to provide legal advice and support to the business and operational units in matters affecting the Bank to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • The scope would include review and advice on structuring of transactions, security arrangements, developments of new products, banking operation related issues.
  • He/She is required to handle and advise court order matters, such as garnishee and injunction.

Job Requirements

  • A recognised Law degree.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as in-house counsel in the banking industry (is preferred) covering a broad range of business banking and operational issues and product.
  • Those with experience in private practice, preferably with a reputable law firm, handling corporate/conveyancing and/or banking litigation matters will be considered.
  • Good drafting and opinion writing skills.
  • A high degree of commitment, initiative and integrity. Excellent communication skills both and oral written.
  • Resourceful, analytical and a team player.
