About the Department

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group’s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist business units in identifying high risk accounts, provide independent reporting for management oversight and formulation of action plan(s) to prevent further deterioration in asset quality.
  • To provide Credit Management Committee (CMC) the following reports and analysis:

(a)      Overview of Vulnerable Borrowers;

(b)      Vulnerable Borrowers with High Risk;

(c)      Bank wide year-to-date Impairment Loss (IL) Movement;

(d)      New Vulnerable Borrowers and Major New Special Mention Accounts;

(e)      Major Accounts Pending Payment;

(f)       Tracking of Repayment for Business Banking Delinquent Accounts;

(g)      Wholesale Bank Top 10 Borrowers with Moratorium;

(h)      Overview of Bullet Balloon Repayment;

(i)       Bankwide Delinquency & Delinquency by BU and NPL Trend;

(j)       Bankwide Islamic Bank Window (IBW) Delinquency and NPL Trend;

And any other thematic review, reports or analysis as per CMC’s request.

  • To provide Secretariat support:

(a)      To provide secretariat and coordination support for Group Credit Committee (GCC), In-country Credit Committee (ICCC) and Credit Management Committee (CMC);

(b)      To follow through with relevant stakeholders on all actionable matters arising from Credit Management Committee’s decision / discussion;

(c)      To update approval of Corporate Banking cases (on behalf of ICCC) in the bank’s loan origination system (Credit Master).

Job Requirements

  • A recognized degree with at least 10 years of relevant working experience in Credit from Corporate / Commercial Banking.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Good team player as well as ability to work independently
