About the Department

Job Responsibilities

  • To analyse and interpret data to drive operational efficiency and faster decision-making. When required, to assist Unit Head of RRIC in dashboard preparing and management reporting submission.
  • Identify and highlight trends patterns and anomalies in data to help to improve operational processes, customer service and financial performance.
  • Evaluate existing banking operations, identify inefficiencies and recommend process enhancements to streamline workflows as well as enhance service delivery.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive reports and dashboards to key stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner and making data-driven recommendations for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Operation and Technology Team to identify areas for process improvement, ensure process changes align with regulatory requirements, internal controls and industry best practices.
  • Ensure all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Guidelines and Policies are maintained, documented and up to date at all times.
  • Ensure activities and processes executed and completed accurately in compliance with rules and regulations, standard operating procedure, manuals, policies, guidelines, Service Level Agreement, audit and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping of all data and documents according to bank and regulatory retention periods or requirements.
  • Follow up on audit issues and resolve all audit findings timely.
  • Perform any ad hoc assignment or task as assigned by Head of Department from time to time
  • Support any project development and revision as required

Job Requirements

  • A recognized Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or any relevant degrees.
  • At least 2-3 years working experience in similar data analytics role(preferably in Financial Services Industry) with a proven track record
  • Proficiency in data analysis toolsets. Experiences in SQL, SAS, R, Python, Qlik, Tableau and Hadoop is added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skill, good verbal and written communication and problem solving skills
  • Change management experience is an added advantage.
  • Resourceful, proactive, attentive to details, a good team player and ability to make work with large datasets
