About the Department
The Audit function is an independent internal audit team that provides objective assurance and consulting to improve and add value to the Group’s operations. We help the Group achieve its strategic objectives by adopting a systematic and disciplined approach towards evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements within the consumer business unit, including retail, digital banking, customer service and relevant supporting operations.
- Develop and implement risk-based audit plans tailored to the specific needs of the auditable unit.
- Oversee audit fieldwork, ensuring adherence to standards and timeliness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting consumer businesses.
- Actively supervise a team of auditors/or perform audits. Review team members’ work for accuracy, completeness and adherence to audit standards.
- Participates in the development of Data Analytics and perform data analytics when needed.
- Act as a liaison between the audit team and consumer business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of audit findings and recommendations. Build strong engagements with stakeholders to facilitate the audits and help improve the stakeholders’ monitoring oversight.
- Prepare and present quality audit reports, highlighting key issues/risks/impact and sustainable action plans.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness of the auditable units. Able to bring out innovative solutions/best practices to address key issues/recurring issues.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of audit experience, with at least 2 years in a team leader role.
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
- AICB Chartered Banker, CBA/BKA or other relevant professional certification will be advantageous.
- Previous auditing experience in consumer business, AML/CFT or related retail operations. Familiarity with Digital Banking and possesses sound knowledge of regulatory framework /compliance standards for consumer banking sector is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding on auditing standards, risk management and internal controls.
- Have experience in using data analytics tools (e.g. ACL) to analyze data or using Tableau/Qlik Sense for visualization of data will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Processes strong communication and presentation skills.
