Programme Overview

The Financial Sector Enrichment Programme (FSTEP) is a 3 + 9-month intensive graduate training programme, in collaboration with Asian Banking School (ABS), designed to equip talent with the right skills and knowledge for their transition into the financial services industry. There are two intakes per year, and we are now open for April intake registration.

The first three months of the programme, trainees will join the classroom training with Asian Banking School (ABS) (Click here to find out more about the programme: https://www.fstep.org.my/). Trainees will be attached to respective departments for the remaining nine months with the opportunity to be absorbed as a permanent employee after the programme ends. In line with our long-term career development programme, UOB Malaysia is committed to recruiting and developing a team of trainees who will be coached to excel within the bank.

For April intake, UOB is hiring FSTEP Trainees for the following functions:

1. Human Resources (Corporate HR, Strategic HR, or Recruiter)
2. Technology (IT, Information Security, Planning, or Sourcing & Procurement)
3. Operations (Retail, Wholesale, etc.)
4. Finance & Corporate Services
5. Channels & Digitalisation
6. Personal Financial Services
7. Global Markets
8. Wholesale Banking (Commercial Banking, Business Banking, Client Fulfillment & Service, Anti-Financial Crime, etc.)

What we look for in a UOB FSTEP Trainee:

• Malaysian nationality.
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with less than 2 years of working experience.
• Fluent in English with good communication skills, adaptable, dedicated, committed, and independent.
• Committed to complete the programme. (Trainees are subjected to 1-year bond period)
