About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Requirements

To be the key person in Finance applications driving software/Hardware installations, patching, performance tuning, DR testing and all other infra structure related activities. 

  • To Maintain the Finance Application Infra setup and coordinate with Infra team for various Server-side activities such as Server Security Patching / Performance Tuning.
  • Review & Facilitate the requests from Application team related to Infra activities such as Database restoration / Database backup.
  • Perform/Report the Health checks on the Application environments on daily basis. Automate the health checks/monitoring on a long term.
  • Deliver the Server Migration and Database Migration activities with Infra team.
  • OBIEE 12C installation and setup.
  • Aldon setup for the new servers to maintain the source code versioning.
  • Job Scheduling in Control-M
  • Drive/Deliver automation in the application environment towards installation & health checks.

Job Responsbilities

  • Designing / Solutioning / Provisioning of Application Infrastructure as per the Project needs.
  • Application software (Including third party products) installations and upgrades
  • Facilitate OS and Other Software patching
  • •To deliver new server setups/configurations & provision of various application environments
  • To work with development team to understand the application requirements from software and infrastructure and suggest/deliver the suitable designs/procedures.
  • To work with development team to troubleshoot on any performance related issues and find solutions
  • To be able to work with other infrastructure teams like administrators, DBA, Networks team to complete the tasks as per the schedules.
  • To be able to plan, implement, monitor, report & deliver various key Project requirements.
  • To be able to co-ordinate/perform application DR testing –automation of DR scripts is mandatory.
  • To be able to work with team member, guiding junior staff and take responsibility for deliverables.
  • Expertise in Middleware technologies (Weblogic, WebSphere etc)
  • Technology delivery skills to plan, implement, monitor & report the Infrastructure project requirements.
  • Prior experience in Linux / Windows server Migrations.
  • Hands-on experience in the ORACLE Database maintenance.
  • In depth experience in Linux, Windows operating system,
  • Sound knowledge on server hardware in VM and Physical server environments
  • Proficient with Batch & Power Shell scripting
  • Experience in Performance tuning of queries in ORACLE.
  • Good knowledge on understanding the third-party vendor applications installation. 
  • To be a quick learner - Gain working level knowledge in any new tools and technology as needed in Finance department
