About the Department

The Global Market function leverages our in-depth knowledge of markets to provide timely financial advice, products and solutions to our clients. Together with our segment managers, we manage our clients’ investment, liability and risk management needs through a comprehensive suite of treasury products and services across multiple asset classes.

Job Responsibilities


  • Managing Global Markets and Capital Markets Operations for both conventional and Islamic Banking operations.
  • Strategic Planning of Global Markets & Islamic Banking Operations (Conventional & Islamic Banking).
  • Implementation of strategic bankwide projects.
  • Build in and implementation of risk & control process.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance to regulatory and internal requirement.
  • Designated BNM Statistical Officer for BNM Cash BOPS Regulatory Reporting
  • Managing department strategic initiatives, team knowledge management plan, financial control & budgeting (cost management) and general administrations.


  • Plan and implement the knowledge management need for the team (IDP, staff fungibility)
  • Implement succession planning
  • Coach and guide staffs in carrying out their duties.
  • Supervise the section staffs and appraise their performance.



  • Strategize, review and implement continuous risks and control mechanisms.
  • Ensure compliance and monitor all risks and control measures are in places.
  • Ensure Assurance process are in place.



Job Requirements

  • A recognized Degree with a minimum of 15 years relevant banking experiences
  • Knowledge of Global Market operations is a must
  • Knowledge of Murex system is an added advantage
  • Strong planning and organization skills, ability to develop work processes and organize resources to achieve desired business results
  • Able to manage senior stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skill
  • Possess good people management and leadership skills
  • Able to work under pressure and adapt to constantly changing environment
