About the Department

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to be part of the pioneer team spearheading the development and delivery of the new services.

Job Responsibilities

Double hatting as Head of Wholesale Banking Operations & Head of Trade Operations 
Be part of Wholesale Banking & trade finance Operation team in processing and managing overall transactions processing, ensuring compliance with governing trade rules, internal bank policy, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of back-office process and risk, strong in problem solving, and work collaboratively in a fast-paces environment.

•    Responsible for overall leadership management of Wholesale Banking Operation Functions, infrastructure and resources to ensure efficient delivery of transaction processing based on the agreed timelines with clients and relevant stakeholders, and within the bounds of the internal policies, bank regulations. 
•    Lead and oversee the Operations Function in ensuring business strategy, plans and initiatives are delivered. 
•    Build a high-performance team whilst driving the on-going change management initiatives to enhance the digitalization, 
•    Work closely with the governance/technology and other key stakeholders to contribute to the overall Bank change strategy.
•    Manage yearly book of work, budgets and resourcing matters. 
•    Keep abreast to any industry developments & initiatives relevant to Wholesale Banking Operations. 

Job Requirements

• Minimum 10 years to 15 years of leadership role managing Wholesale Banking Operations (Cash Management/ Trade Finance/ Loans) with strong leadeship qualities.
• Strong knowledge of OFAC/Anti-boycott/Anti-Money Laundering/High Risks Transaction.
• Strong cross functional skills includes good communication and influencing skills, foster culture of collaboration and strategic thinker solutions-oriented to contribute to the overall operations strategy.
• Demonstrated change mindset, innovative, and experience leading transformational change activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Education

• Minimum a recognized degree in a relevant field.
• Certified in relevant Industry certifications e.g., CDCS, CITF, CSDG. 
• Certified in ACAMS will be added advantage.
