About the Department

The Infra and Platform Services Domain Lead is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the infrastructure and operations domain within the organization. This role involves leading design and implementation efforts, ensuring system integrity and performance, and driving innovation within the infrastructure landscape as well as maintenance of the infrastructure. Besides that, the domain lead will also lead over L1 and L2 support across various banking domains, batch operations, managing service automation and testing tasks. The Domain Lead collaborates with various stakeholders to align infrastructure capabilities with the business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of IT support staff and infrastructure professionals.

  • Assign tasks, monitor team performance and provide feedback, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to manage team’s career growth and look out for areas to enhance team skills and knowledge.

2. Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:

  • Ensure prompt resolution of technical issues and escalations.

  • Monitor support tickets, service levels, and response times.

  • Implement best practices to improve customer experience.

3. Process Improvement & Reporting:

  • Analyze support metrics and identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency.

  • Prepare reports  

4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with tech team to address recurring production issues.

  • Focus on problem solving, communicate effectively and respond to escalations promptly. 

  • Provide clear and transparent updates by driving program meetings. 

  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for infrastructure hardware and software.

5. Technical Expertise (If Applicable):

  • Provide advice and support to team for complex technical issues.

  • Stay current with the emerging technologies and industry trend, leading the overall strategy and vision for the organization’s key domains. Has some understanding on casic devops tools, test management as well as batch monitoring tools. 

  • Infra knowledge of either Linux/Unix, windows, database management system, middleware or IAC are preferred.

  • Banking domain knowledge like core banking, cards, global markets, data and finance risks are added advantage

  • Banking domain applications such as AS400, mainframe, MUREX, SAP GL, Informatica, RPA Blueprism are also added advantage. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • More than 9 years track records and significant experience in IT infrastructure management and system operations, with a focus on systems architecture and design.

  • Proven experience leading and managing high-performing technical teams.

  • Excellent Project management experience

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong team player; able to motivate team to respond to multiple demands and able to manage changing priorities and meet challenging timelines.

  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication skills.

  • Strong team orientation and commitment to overall team success; willing to go above and beyond to ensure team success; intense customer focus and commitment to driving quality.

  • Effective time management skills to manage multiple priorities with flexibility on time zones and timelines.

  • Logical thinking, High analytical and problem-solving skills; innovative and solutions oriented.

  • An engaging, open, genuine personality that naturally encourages interaction with individual at all level.
