About the Department

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group’s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily dunning to the customers by ensuring ethical and proper treatment of all customers.
  • Establish an achievable repayment plan by providing options, taking into consideration the individual customer’s financial predicament.
  • To ensure adhere to the compliance Manual, code of conduct, local regulatory etc.
  • Provide accurate explanation to customer on non-payment whether communicating verbally or in writing.
  • Responsibility to ensure daily queues are completed for the day and provide feedback to supervisor.
  • To negotiate, persuade and convince customer to pay i.e. quick thinker with quick answers(versatile) when customers try to evade payment.
  • To assess how genuine a customer’s reason for non-payment and propose a solution with alternative options.
  • Responsible to ensure the portfolio assigned are worked and thoroughly vet through to ensure business is on- going for credit risk assessment.
  • To support the ad hoc task assigned by immediate team leader or assistant team leader.

Job Requirements

  • Min 3-5 years working experience in collection credit management.
  • Must be target oriented and work well under pressure.
  • Receptive to changes especially if it is the bank’s direction.
  • Proficient in litigation especially on the Biz Money NPL and Charge off.
  • Self-motivate and self-develop:  take initiative to learn and stay positive.
  • Inquisitive and analytical mind to provide feedback for planning future credit and marketing strategies.
  • Must be alert to detect pattern behavior of customer when on the job in order to make the appropriate recommendation to curb bank’s losses. Alert to risk especially credit risk, escalate and mitigate the risk.
