About the Department
UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to oversee the full project management life cycle and drive the successful completion of strategic initiatives.
PMO Manager responsibilities include facilitation within the organisation and coordination across departments, managing project resources and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects align with our corporate vision and meet our goals for quality, cost and time.
Other responsibilities include:
- Lead a team to drive and monitor programs or projects such that cost, quality, plan, time, and benefits realization are controlled and achieved, and the project meets the overall goal
- Manage the risk and issue log, action log and decisions log
- Track project financials to ensure that the projects adhere to the agreed budget
- Ensure cross-project dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained
- Coordinate project closure to distill good practice and ensure lessons learned are logged
- Build cohesion within the team and motivate the team to produce quality work
- Define and embed project control and governance
- Manage project planning, milestone management, scope management, resource forecasting
- Prepare regular project status reporting for management (Malaysia, Group), including steering committee reporting
- Support strategic planning (2024-2025 planning and tracking, new strategy development)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 – 9 years of relevant project management or PMO management experience.
- Experience in planning, executing, controlling and closing projects and the ability to manage a project and its components simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and programme plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies.
- Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management and resource planning.
- Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS project.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make the appropriate decisions and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Performance-driven balanced with proven success of working effectively in a cross-functional team in an international environment.
- Process-oriented and possesses a strategic mindset with the ability to have a holistic view.
- Ability to deliver and articulate a presentation confidently and effectively to a wider project committee and management.
- Relevant experience in the financial services industry is advantageous.
- Degrees from any recognised University or recognised establishment (Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field will be beneficial)
- Professional certifications in the field of Project Management (e.g. PMP, CAPM) will be an advantage
