About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the operations governance and quality assurance of centre.
  • Formulating and managing operations assurance review work plan and implementing risk-based operations assurance reviews to ensure that internal controls and checks on the centre’s operations are in place, and adhered to Group and other key institutional policies and guidelines as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating the activities of the Operations Assurance team with the work of the Internal Audit function and external auditors.
  • Investigating customer feedback to ensure policy, process and service issues are satisfactorily resolved and adequate preventive measures are put in place.
  • Reviewing, analyzing and reporting the operations risk control health of CoE to ensure that Key Performance Indicators are met.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Good degree holder in Banking, Finance or Accounting with additional professional qualifications in Accounting, Internal Audit or Operational Risk Management

 

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 10-12 years of relevant working experience, preferably with experience in Banking industry and shared service centre.
  • Proven and relevant experience in external or internal audit in operations of a financial services institution is required. 
  • Experience in risk management and operations functions in banking operations will be favorably considered.
  • Technically competent and hands-on yet able to demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory skills to motivate and influence a team, to achieve team objectives.
  • Possess creativity and self-motivation to find solutions in a sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make the appropriate decisions and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Team player and able to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Process-oriented and possesses a strategic mindset with the ability to have a holistic view
