About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistency to deliver high quality services to customers and meeting objectives set by the organization using available resources allocated while maintaining operational risk to an acceptable level.
  • Manage the operational risk of the team to avoid operational/reputational losses and ensure awareness and full compliance of all laid down rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the organization, including Money Laundering and Sanctions.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationship with branches and Business Units in the organization to facilitate an open and direct communication of issues, needs, queries, etc.  Respond to customers and internal stakeholders queries within the agreed Service Level Agreement.
  • To manage and perform data entry and/or approval for foreign telegraphic transfer whilst maintaining high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform associated authentication activity and post processing task as part of managing telegraphic transfer.
  • Ensure applications received are checked and attended promptly and accurately and within the acceptable service turnaround time.
  • Participation in discussion, initiatives and projects where necessary.
  • Familiar with regulatory guidelines, i.e. Foreign Exchange Administration Rules, External Sector Statistics System on submission of international transactions and external position information.

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder in Business/Finance/Economics.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in Cash Management Operations area with vast experience and knowledge in remittances especially foreign telegraphic transfer.
  • Ability to handle volume with accuracy and
  • Team player with a good interpersonal skill
  • Good in both written and oral communication skills where proficiency in English is an advantage. Conversant with Microsoft Office applications
