About the Department

The T&O Governance and Assurance Department (TOGA) is part of Country T&O which is mandated with a role as an independent assurance and advisory function designed to add value in improving the effectiveness and quality of the T&O’s operating control systems.

 

The Department’s main responsibility is to provide support to the T&O - Operations Centres and IT departments on risk and control related matters.  The Department is responsible for undertaking various activities including assurance and process reviews.

 

The Department also promotes and reinforces a consistent approach to the escalation and management of risk events as well as the application of controls to mitigate associated risks.  It facilitates management governance through the provision of reports on significant risk events, risk trends and the operational health of operations centres and IT processes.

Job Responsibilities

Provide leadership in the following key areas:

  • Lead, manage and develop an effective governance and control review team.
  • Plan control review, allocate appropriate resources and ensure appropriate and comprehensive coverage of the review.
  • Identify key risks to the business operations, evaluate and test controls in place and identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with various level of management in the planning and conducting the control reviews.
  • Involve in discussions on review observations, emerging risks and actions needed to address the identified risks.
  • Provide advice to relevant operations centers and IT departments on issues relating to governance, risks and controls.
  • Facilitate policy implementation across operations centers and IT departments.
  • Manage and coordinate audits or inspections by internal audits, external audits and regulators.
  • Review operational risk tools to monitor country T&O’s control risk health positions.
  • Engage stakeholders in operations centres to understand, manage and address risk incidents, operational risk indicators and customer issues.
  • Review the adequacy and monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions from all escalated incidents, operational risk exceptions and customer complaints within T&O.
  • Prepare periodic analyses and consolidated control reports to Country and Group T&O management.
  • Provide leadership on Business Continuity Management related matters.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of working experience in information security.
  • Strong engagement skills with stakeholders i.e. management, business and technology.
  • Ability to build relationship and interact effectively with internal and external parties.
  • Highly result oriented and can work independently while handling multiple concurrent security assessment assignments.
