About the Department

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group’s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.

Job Responsibilities

The role is accountable for review, development and maintenance of portfolio analytics and MIS designed to meet portfolio goals, review score cut-offs, portfolio actions and activities that include credit line management and the monitoring of portfolio performance MIS.

The individual is required to work closely with the Credit Policy Managers, Business/ Products, Finance, Risk Management and Operations functions to develop and deploy logic for managing and producing the portfolio MIS and analysis for both PFS Secured and Unsecured businesses.

  • Developing and produced a comprehensive portfolio analytics report on monthly basis.
  • Assist the Policy Manager in managing the overall risk levels for the entire credit spectrum across multiple products consistent with program financial objectives
  • Tracking and reporting of initiatives and reporting performance results, emerging trends and opportunities to senior management on a timely basis
  • Support ad-hoc risk policy review/analysis and projects as required
  • Ensure regulatory compliance

Job Requirements

  • Good business acumen and strong analytics skills with proven track record of complex processes and data analyses/deliverables
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and dealing effectively with demanding business partners
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal an written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact successfully with business partners, operations, technology and finance teams
  • Strong planning, coordination and organization skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional organization
  • Good project management
  • 5+ years experience with credit policy analytics and development, preferably on unsecured portfolios and experience in using and maintaining Decision Engines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Quantitative disciplines or business. Master’s degree is and added advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAS programming including macro and SQL
