UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation. 

About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the end-to-end software development and support for all work transitioned from Group (which could be projects, quarterly change requests, L3 production fixes). This includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support. Key objective is to ensure good quality and smooth delivery of cards technology system enhancements that are fully in compliance with mandated framework and guidelines.
You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools. You will partner closely with the Group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.

  • Translate business requirements to functional specs; understanding of the business areas and system areas. 
  • Elicit detailed requirements from all impacted business and operation teams.
  • Translate the requirement insights as user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure cross functional analysis is carried out while define and grooming phase, by tapping into collective knowledge of Business Analysis practice & other technology teams.
  • Contribute to establishment of design solution by sharing and validating options in context of requirements and roadmap.
  • Plan, monitor and manage risks/issues related to technical delivery.
  • Contribute to maintaining repository of features inventory and data maps for the domain space.
  • Work with design and testing teams to ensure that the requirements and solutions are correctly understood, refined as well as being translated into equivalent deliverables at each stage of execution.
  • Facilitate discussion of concepts with variety of stakeholders in order to establish use cases.
  • Contribute to driving high quality of systems design and adherence to global architecture principles.
  • Contribute to establishment of design solution by sharing and validating options in context of requirements.
  • Prepare Functional Specification document and ensuring documentation provided meets required bank's documentation standards.
  • Provide insights to team regarding priority, criticality of features to test for a product as well as review the test strategy and scripts.
  • Provide function validation support during UAT phases to ensure that requirement exit criteria are met correctly.
  • Accountable for cross functional and cross system capabilities.
  • Lead pre-project analysis.
  • Collaborate and design card solutions.
  • Engage users, IT departments and vendors.

Job Requirements

  • At least 6 years of open system design and development experience on Cards Domain.
  • Experience in actual systems development work, with prior coding, functional specifications and technical specifications and systems development and testing experience (in aggregate no less than 6 years).
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering global/regional IT capabilities for a multi-national/regional company.
  • Strong technical knowledge and/or cards platform knowledge.
  • Good business domain knowledge of Cards and Payments.
  • Experience in scoping and evaluation – defining overall considerations, including scalability, maintainability, cost, operations and technology principal risk to provide a recommendation.
  • Experience in service-oriented technologies.
  • Good understanding and experience in software development cycle.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar domain; Related professional/technical qualification will be advantageous although not mandatory.

  • Platform / Product: Mainframe, Cardlink/VisionPlus.    
  • Server / Database: VSAM.     
  • Language : Cobol, CICS, JCL.    
  • OS :  Mainframe ZOS.
