About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead and conduct reviews on IT processes and operations to assess effectiveness and efficiency, highlight potential risks, gaps and opportunities for improvements.
  • Conduct periodic reviews on practices and controls of IT processes to ensure governance and compliance to the policies, framework, standards, procedures and requirements.
  • Lead, direct and perform assessment of practices and standard operating procedures of IT support units.
  • Review and provide advisory to IT Supporting units for correspondences and updates with external parties.
  • Conduct outsourcing risk assessments to ensure agreed levels of IT risk.
  • Review and provide feedback on policies, framework, guidelines to ensure document and processes remain current, subject to ongoing changes and enhancement
  • Liaise with internal, external and regulatory bodies to review queries and responses.  Ensure tracking and follow up of audit issues are addressed and rectified according to committed timeline.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or its equivalent.
  • 6-8 years of working experience in the IT field with significant knowledge of IT processes and operations. 
  • Possess relevant experience in IT governance, audit, compliance, risk, assurance review or process improvement, preparation and review of IT policies or guidelines.
  • Knowledge of IT Security is essential.  Industry certification is a plus e.g. CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP.
  • Work experience in carrying out IT Audit and IT Governance Assurance Review is a plus.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement in applying established policies, procedures or standards.
  • Possess strong leadership and management skills, highly result oriented, resourceful and can work independently.
  • Ability to build relationship and interact effectively with internal and external parties.
