UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation. 

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Delivery Lead and be in the UOB IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Team, part of Group Risk Management. 

 

  1. Being a Technical Analyst and taking up the development of changes to GRC.
  2. Implementing and supporting vendor systems components.
  3. Providing Level 3- Production Support.
  4. GRC application development, implementation, and support of SIT/UAT testing, which includes the below:
  • Gathering and analyzing requirements and performing very appropriate and accurate impact analysis of the changes requested.
  • Getting involved in design for both the internal and vendor changes.
  • Getting involved in development, unit testing as well as system integrated testing for both the internal and vendor changes.
  • Providing consultation and support in addressing production related issues and tasks and also supporting SIT/UAT activities pertaining to the changes.
  • Planning, preparing, and executing system rollout and implementations.
  • Bringing about improvisations and value additions to the system and application components.


 

Requirements Management

  • Engage with System Analyst & SME to collate, understand and finalize functional and technical requirements.

 

Design & Development

  • Partner with Architects and Dev. Manager to ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security, and control standards.
  • Partner with Development Manager in managing application teams to build the enhancements.

 

Test Management

  • Partner with Test Manager to ensure the completion of SIT, UAT testing, regression/performance/ load testing and application security testing with quality results.

 

Implementation Management

  • Prepare technical implementation plan across application teams.
  • Coordinate technical implementation activities with release team and across application teams to ensure clean production cutover without issues and adequate post implementation support.

Job Requirements

  • Hands on development experience in any operational risk system or any banking application.
  • Experience and knowledge with Aldon LM(e) product & setup is an added advantage.
  • Banking domain or financial institution working experience and familiarity with SDLC process and change management tools.

 

Key Skills: 

  • MS Windows, Unix/ Linux OS, Unix/Linux Scripting, Pentaho, Apache Tomcat, XML, Oracle, Microsoft SQL server, 
  • SQL scripting, Sybase, Java, Aldon, Bitbucket, Control-M scheduler, SFTP/SSL, Connect Direct, SAP BI platform and tools.
  • Strong analytical and good problem-solving skills, good exposure to infra setup is required.

 

  • Must possess customer oriented and can-do attitude (should be able to accommodate overtime work when needed).
  • Have good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
  • Be a good team player and be pro-active.
  • Be able to work in a fast paced and team-oriented environment and be able to manage priorities.
  • Be able to work under pressure and work closely with stakeholders and other onshore/offshore developers.
  • Have strong delivery ability and be able to see end-to-end closure of issues to hit delivery, support commitments with focus & discipline.
  • Be a quick learner - Gain working level knowledge in any new tools and technology as needed.
