UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
About the Department
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Job Responsibilities
A Quarter Release Management Lead is responsible for overseeing the release process of Change Request on a quarterly basis. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this role:
Release Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and manage detailed release schedules, ensuring alignment with business and technology strategies.
- Coordinate release activities across multiple teams and departments, including Development, QA, DevOps, IT Security, SIT, UAT, Support, and Product Management.
Coordination and Communication:
- Serve as the main point of contact for all release-related activities.
- Communicate release plans, impacts, and issues to stakeholders throughout the release lifecycle.
- Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go reviews.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
- Escalate issues as needed to clear blockers and ensure smooth release processes.
Governance and Documentation:
- Enforce release governance and maintain comprehensive documentation, ensuring adherence to best practices and SDLC production requirements.
- Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance release efficiency, reduce deployment risks, and optimize processes.
- Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environments.
Leadership and Mentoring:
- Lead and mentor release managers, ensuring best practices are followed across all releases.
- Oversee cross-team and cross-product release dependencies.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
- Experience: At least 5 years’ Release Management experience.
- Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, project management, change management, and excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge: Progressive knowledge in the software development lifecycle.
