About the Department
The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group’s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.
Job Responsibilities
- Formulating and maintaining appropriate ORM related frameworks, policies and guidelines.
- Assume the team lead position for Incident Management, Third Party Risk Management (i.e. both outsourcing (OS) and third party non-outsourcing (TPNO) and Insurance Program.
- For Incident Management, incumbent to oversee and support Business & Support Units (BSUs) as incident owners to report operational risk incidents, as appropriate.
- For Third Party Risk Management (i.e. OS and TPNO), incumbent to oversee and perform the outsourcing due diligence (for outsourcing arrangements) and third party risk assessment (TPRA) for TPNO.
- Insurance Program. Need to prepare for insurance coverage, claims and budget. Put up memos to get necessary approvals.
- Secretariat function for relevant committees i.e. Operational Risk Management Committee, Product Program Committee and Crisis Management Team (or as assigned by ORM Head), where relevant (including preparation of minutes of meeting)
- Conduct annual Scenario Analysis exercise.
- Incumbent is expected to be adequately familiar with all ORM programs/methodologies i.e. Key Risk & Control Self-Assessment, Key Operational Risk Indicator, Incident Reporting, Product Program, etc; given that most of the programs/modules are interconnected.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years working experience in operational risk management.
- Conversant with the relevant regulatory requirements especially Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and to a certain extent, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
- Possess adequate analytical skills on qualitative and quantitative measures on inherent risks and able to provide recommendation for risk treatment and mitigation.
- Operationalization of ORM methodologies is key.
