About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing corporate clients (Sarawak) including evaluating their loan applications, conducting credit reviews, marketing and cross-selling a wide range of banking products and services
  • To drive business, manage risk, monitor overall facility utilisation and profitability of the assigned portfolio
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship, establish clear, measurable goals for the team, set performance standards and regulatory communicate expectations for work quality, timelines, and behaviour.
  • Build rapport and develop meaningful networking to maintain account relationships with both existing and prospective clients
  • Build client loyalty by establishing a trusted advisor relationship, as ‘The Trusted Banker to call’
  • Identify clients’ needs and capture new financing and / or cross selling opportunities; negotiate for best margins to optimise profitability
  • Deliver both in terms of speed and quality for all KPIs assigned
  • Ensure accuracy on customer due diligence (“CDD”) and Know Your Customer (“KYC”)

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, finance, etc.), is required
  • Must have demonstrated success in a corporate sales background within a financial services company, at least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with leadership experience
  • Ability to mentor and coach team members, fostering professional and personal growth
  • Strong business acumen, proactive and a highly motivated self-starter
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
