About the Department

Relationship Management (Corporate Banking) - Financial Institutions is responsible for strengthening the firm's relationships with existing accounts, and driving continuous service improvements with ultimate focus on business retention. Develops the strategy, processes, and delivery measurement for service among all functional areas responsible for delivering to clients. Corporate Banking covers activities related to the development, origination, and management of banking loan products, advice, and trade financing for major market corporate clients, including large local companies, financial institutions, and multinationals. Corporate banking generally refers to clients in excess of a given annual revenue. Responsible for activities related to providing banking loan services and auxiliary products (e.g., letters of credit) to institutions with revenues above a certain limit. The Financial Institutions focus specializes in covering products relating to coverages for banks, credit unions, insurance companies, investment advisers, hedge funds, mutual funds, venture capital, and private equity firms.

Corporate & Commercial Banking covers activities related to providing banking loan products and advice to institutions ranging from small to mid-sized businesses, to the largest corporations. Includes major market middle market corporate banking, business banking, and corporate and transaction banking.

Job Responsibilities

This position is part of the Global Funds & Financial Sponsors (“GFFS”) team in Singapore within Global Financial Institutions Group. We are looking for an Assistant Relationship Manager / Assistant Coverage Banker to support the Senior Relationship Manager in driving client relationships and business growth with clients in the GFFS segment for real assets such as property, data center, infrastructure, renewables, logistics, student accommodation, hospitality etc.
 
Key responsibilities include:
•    Providing support to the Senior Relationship Manager in growing and maintaining a portfolio of existing and new clients in Singapore and in the region.
•    Preparation of new credit proposals, annual credit reviews and ad-hoc credit requests in relation to credit facilities. This includes structuring of facilities terms and conditions, advocating the credit case and overseeing end to end credit application and credit approval process.
•    Cross-sell other product capabilities in the bank, such as cash management, bonds, derivatives and loan syndications etc.
•    Manage all required compliance/KYC due diligence and AML process for onboarding and periodic reviews and ensure it meets the bank’s and regulator’s requirements.
•    Oversee the documentation and operational aspects of all products and services provided.
•    Work closely with internal stakeholders (eg. credit approvers, credit admin team, group legal, loan agency and operations team, product partners, etc.) to ensure a smooth deal process.
 

Job Requirements

•    Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or Banking & Finance or comparable
•    Prior working experience in a similar role in corporate banking, commercial banking and/or financial institutions banking teams preferred. 
•    Proficient in credit analysis and financial analysis.
•    Understanding of the financial industry and suite of banking products/services including Global Markets, Transaction Banking, Capital Markets and lending.
•    Resourceful individual with strong initiatives and positive attitude who is also a team player.
•    Dynamic, dedicated, self-driven and highly motivated.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
