The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Trade Channel Team Lead, the position will be responsible for the management, planning and development of Trade Channel Platform for Transaction Banking customers. As part of the Group Product Management team, the position will be responsible for coordinating group and country trade channel product program requirements, as well as participate in requirement specifications and rollout of global products. Trade Channel Product Manager is primarily in charge of the overall Trade Channel strategy, ensuring the channel competitiveness, identify gaps and develop solution working with technology, commercialization of trade channel solution, including online onboarding, H2H and API for Trade, and all Trade Channel maintenance tasks
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage Trade Channel Product business drivers (i.e. digital volumes, cost)
• Manage and drive campaign / initiative to drive usage of digital channels and commercialization with stakeholders
• Ensure that all Channel product solutions are aligned with regulatory requirements
• Prioritize, drive & execute product initiatives and one-off programs, with joint ownership by customer support, to promote adoption by customers.
• Support definition of Trade Channel strategy
• Ensure that products are competitive by performing regular product/market analysis
• Design standard commercialization kits, printed brochures and other relevant sales tools for sales team
• Create product awareness and conduct training programs for sales and customer support. Provide product expertise support for client solution
• Support implementation of complex client channel integration such as H2H and API
• Understand, manage and analyze data to drive adoptions
• Develop and promote new product capabilities which improve operational efficiencies, reduce operational risks, provide new revenue streams, enhance UOB’s reputation in the Transaction Banking space. Define new requirements for Channel products and commercialize new products
• Manage and drive digitalization using Bank proprietary system and/or industry-led platform
• Manage ongoing activities such as onboarding forms, subscription packages
Job Requirements
• At least 10 years of working experience in trade finance product management, especially for Asia
• Strong trade finance technical and operation experiences, will be a plus
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills
• Solid Project Management skills
• Knowledgeable on technologies such as H2H, Blockchain, API and Portals
• Highly motivated self-starter with strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, willing to learn and organization skills
• Strong PowerPoint preparation and presentation; as well as Excel analytic and communication skills to resolve issues / feedback relating to Documentary Trade products
