About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

Requirements Analysis, Elicitation and High-Level Solutioning 

  • Collaborate with Business Product Owner/ Specialists to ensure all aspects of the business requirements are defined and analysed 
  • Analyse and document the "to be" business and operations processes based on the agreed requirements and / or function points
  • Be responsible to analyse and define detailed functional and non-functional requirements based on business requirements
  • Perform impact assessment, develop high level solution and estimation in consultation with architects, technology and operation teams to illustrate feasibility of achieving desired business outcomes
  • Monitor and manage risks /issues related to requirements and scope creep
  • Write business functional release notes and contribute to deployment plan


Team Collaboration

  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams including system analysts, solution architects, technology development teams and testing teams in defining/clarifying/finalizing requirements
  • Work with Test Manager to translate business requirements into test scenarios
  • Clarify test findings escalated by Test Manager and classify the findings accordingly (either as a defect or change request)
  • Facilitate / provide "Train the Trainer" on application enhancements
  • Identify potential risks for the projects, assess the risk implication and propose risk mitigation strategies
  • Support Business on defining strategies and business / product roadmap 
  • Support Business T&O leads on pre-project planning, project management and closure activities 


Scope and Change Management

  • Undertake scoping and evaluation of new initiatives
  • Perform impact assessment and estimation for Project Change Request

Job Requirements

  • At least 12 years of experience in banking, financial services, Insurance or Telecommunication industries 
  • Must have strong SME knowledge and experience in Unified Communication Systems like Voice Telephony, Auto Dialer, Call Recording, Work Force Management, Quality Management Systems, etc 
  • Experience in working as SME in Avaya, Verint systems is a plus 
  • Strong experience in process re-engineering in the areas of Contact Centre, Telesales and Collections 
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process design skills that can translate analysis into solutions that meet business objectives
  • Understanding of technology and operational processes across functions / departments in the bank/market.
  • Familiar with change management processes and project management fundamentals
  • Strategic forward thinking approach to challenges with outstanding communications, influencing, negotiating and persuasion skills
  • Passionate, diligent and resilient individual with ability to thrive in ambiguity
  • Experience in scoping and evaluation – Defining overall considerations, including scalability, maintainability, cost, operations and technology principal risk to provide a recommendation
