About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

Business Banking

We develop integrated products and services targeted at helping small and medium-sized enterprises across the region progress through different stages of growth. These include innovative solutions and initiatives in areas of working capital loans, operational efficiency and currency exposure.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work together with Retail Credit Management, on providing a justifiable and credible budget NCL numbers whilst co-sharing responsibility to meet regional yearly NCL budget. 
  • Ensure countries localize & implement Group Risk Monitoring Framework and to work with Group & Country Credit teams, to ensure correct operationalization of credit policies & guidelines.
  • Guide Country Risk Monitoring Teams on using a combination of pre-emptive alerts, risk segmentation and delinquency counters, to engage customers with the intent of preventing & minimizing risk, and ultimately maximizing bank RoRWA. 
  • Guide countries on achieving KPI by way of utilizing (wherever appropriate), a combination of calls, visits, restructuring, or rescheduling tools as provided by our Risk Mitigation Policies.
  • Set up Central Review Team to conduct reviews & operationalize Risk Mitigation Program (RMP) for medium Intensity accounts and ensure quality of reviews.
  • Engage with Credit Approvers on final strategy to take for customers with deterioration.
  • Oversee tail risk management analysis and reporting.
  • Draft & develop Group Risk Monitoring Governance Framework for approvals of enhancements.
  • Ensure that Group Risk Monitoring Framework is adhered to and reviewed annually.
Job Requirements
  • Recognised university degree with at least 10 years of experience in Banking and Financial industry preferably in SME (small business) environment 
  • Knowledge of various banking / credit facilities including trade products is essential 
  • Knowledge in Credit risk 
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills 
  • Possess project management skills
